Fortnite's new "Reload" mode throws players back to the game's roots with a modern twist. This fast-paced mode pits 40 players on a smaller map packed with classic locations like Tilted Towers and Retail Row. No vehicles, but plenty of unvaulted weapons await, including fan favorites like the Revolver, Tactical Shotgun, and Rocket Launcher.
What Makes Reload Mode Unique?
Reload mode offers squad-based revives, but with a catch: a full squad wipe means instant elimination. The goal? Be the last squad standing, whether you prefer Battle Royale or Zero Build.
The action intensifies with a Reboot Timer, starting at 30 seconds and increasing to 40 as the match progresses. Eliminating enemies reduces this timer, allowing for quicker revives. Downed players can also choose to initiate their reboot immediately.
Elimination and Strategy
Eliminated players aren't completely out. They drop Small Shield Potions, ammo, and building materials (in Build mode), keeping the fight intense and resource-driven.
Rewards and Challenges
Complete Reload mode's introductory quests for significant XP rewards:
- Three quests: Digital Dogfight Contrail
- Six quests: Pool Cubes Wrap
- Nine quests: NaNa Bath Back Bling
- Victory Royale: The Rezzbrella Glider
