Orna, the fantasy RPG and GPS MMO by Northern Forge Studios, is hosting a unique in-game event, Terra's Legacy, to combat real-world environmental pollution. From September 9th to 19th, players will battle pollution-themed enemies and contribute to cleaning up the planet.
Fighting Pollution, One Game at a Time
Terra's Legacy merges virtual gameplay with real-world environmental action. Players identify polluted locations in their surroundings via the Orna app. These locations are then transformed into in-game "Gloomsites," represented by battles against the Murk, a pollution-themed enemy. Defeating the Murk raises awareness and contributes to the cause.
Following the battles, players can plant virtual trees and grow Gaia apples at these Gloomsites, customizing their characters and enhancing their magical abilities with the harvested fruit. Other players can also harvest these apples, fostering collaboration and shared rewards. The more players participate, the cleaner the virtual and real worlds become.
Part of a Larger Movement
Terra's Legacy is part of the Green Game Jam 2024, an annual event uniting game developers globally to promote environmental consciousness. Download Orna from the Google Play Store and join this important environmental initiative.
