Enter the Gungeon, the acclaimed 2016 bullet-hell roguelike, is launching an Android test in China. A free demo is available on TapTap from June 28th to July 8th, offering a taste of the Gungeon's chaotic world.
This mobile demo retains the core roguelike experience, featuring unique runs and a cast of quirky heroes, each with their own reasons for descending into the bullet-infested depths. Expect unpredictable encounters, challenging chambers, and a sprawling labyrinthine environment.
The controls and interface have been redesigned for intuitive touchscreen play, allowing for smooth dodging and rapid-fire action. A two-player online co-op mode lets you team up with a friend to conquer the Gungeon together.
The demo covers the first two floors, introducing you to a selection of the game's diverse weaponry and bizarre, gun-toting enemies and bosses. Developer feedback is actively sought during this testing phase, focusing on bug reports, glitches, and optimization suggestions. Visit the TapTap page to participate.
While the current test is limited to China and features a Chinese interface, the game's popularity suggests a global release is likely in the future, though no official date has been announced. Keep an eye out for further updates.
