If you're diving into the action-packed world of *Dynasty Warriors: Origins*, you might find yourself taking a bit of a beating, especially if you're new to the series. Don't worry, though—learning how to heal is a breeze and will keep you in the fight longer.
In *Dynasty Warriors: Origins*, healing is as simple as using a special consumable item known as a meat bun. These tasty treats can be found scattered around enemy bases, typically hidden inside pots. Additionally, on the Historian and Wayfarer difficulty settings, you might get lucky and have an enemy officer drop a meat bun after you defeat them. However, if you're tackling the tougher Hero and Ultimate Warrior difficulties, don't count on those officers dropping any buns.
To heal up during battle, just press Up on the D-Pad if you have a meat bun in your inventory. If your inventory is full when you pick up a new meat bun, it will be automatically consumed—unless you're already at full health, in which case it'll stay on the ground. At the start, you can only carry three meat buns, but if that's not enough for your warrior lifestyle, you can boost your capacity with the Meat Bun Glutton skill.
For those who'd rather not keep an eye on their health bar, the game offers an "Auto-Use Meat Buns" option in the Configuration menu. Enable this, and your meat buns will automatically kick in when your health dips below a set threshold. The best part? You can still manually use meat buns even with auto-use enabled, so it's a great safety net to have.
