Numerous weapons and stratagems have received tuning, enhancing the overall gameplay experience. A key improvement involves boosting the game's AI processing power, leading to more responsive enemy behavior, especially in densely populated battles. While this enhances enemy AI, it does introduce a minor performance trade-off. Expect a more challenging encounter with Automatons, whose reaction times and decision-making have been significantly improved in larger groups. The stratagem loadout menu has also been reorganized for improved navigation.

Sony Interactive Entertainment has also announced the upcoming "Borderline Justice" Warbond for Helldivers 2, a space-cowboy themed expansion launching March 20th. This exciting addition introduces new weaponry, including the R-6 Deadeye lever-action rifle, the LAS-58 Talon revolver, and the explosive TED-63 Dynamite. New armor sets are also included: the GS-17 Frontier Marshal medium armor and the GS-66 Lawmaker heavy armor, both boasting a distinct cowboy aesthetic. The Gunslinger armor passive provides enhanced reload and draw/holster speeds, along with reduced recoil.
The ongoing Galactic War continues its focus on the Illuminate, who relentlessly push a black hole towards Super Earth. The future of this conflict remains uncertain, but speculation hints at a potential assault on the Illuminate's homeworld or a decisive battle on Super Earth itself.
