Merchant Tamao
Tamao, a dealer in contraband, doesn't hide his activities well. Skip the intel-gathering and head directly to the Yamashiro region. Locate Kyoto, the central city, and find Honpoji Temple on its east side. From there, head west to find Tamao hiding in his brewery. His staff will mention his reluctance to come out. Smash the barrels in the courtyard to draw him out. Confront him and move on to your next target.
Merchant Kanta
Delving deeper into the Iron Hand syndicate, you'll find that not all merchants are willingly involved. Merchant Kanta is one such case, located in the Mouth of Seta in the Omi region. You can choose to attack him or use the Observe mechanic to uncover intel showing that he's coerced into working for the guild. Spare his life, and he'll become a captain in Imai Sokun’s merchant fleet.
Merchant Ginroku
Ginroku deals in rare delicacies for the wealthy around Miyazu Bay. Travel west to Tamba and find Miyazu Bay just southwest of Miyazu Castle, across the bridge. You can either eliminate him for his involvement with the Iron Hand or find an important letter in nearby huts that could spare his life. If spared, he'll work with the real House Imai and gain access to affluent clients in Sakai Port.
Merchant Kin-no-suke
Kin-no-suke's ostentatious displays of wealth raise suspicions, as he uses bandits to steal from others to bolster his business. Head to the city of Obama in Wakasa, just east of the Trading Port, to find him. Surrounded by bodyguards, use a smoke bomb and swift assassinations to take him down.
Iron Hand
Finally, you'll locate the head of the syndicate, the Iron Hand, in a highly secure area. Prepare for a challenging fight to reach him in Tamba, specifically at Fukuchiyama Castle near the region's center. Approach from the south side of the castle walls. The Iron Hand will be heavily guarded, so take out the guards one by one before confronting him. Once defeated, return to Imai Sokun to claim your rewards.
