Monster Hunter & Digimon Celebrate 20 Years with Limited Edition V-Pet
To mark Monster Hunter's 20th anniversary, Capcom and Bandai have teamed up to release the "Digimon COLOR Monster Hunter 20th Edition" V-Pet. This special edition features designs based on the iconic Rathalos and Zinogre monsters. Each device is priced at 7,700 Yen (approximately $53.2 USD), excluding shipping and any import fees.
The Digimon COLOR Monster Hunter 20th Edition boasts a full-color LCD screen, UV printing technology, and a rechargeable battery. It retains the popular "Cold Mode" function, temporarily pausing monster growth, hunger, and strength. A backup system ensures your progress and monsters are safe.
Japan-Only Release (For Now)
Pre-orders are currently open on Bandai's official Japanese online store. However, it's important to note this is a Japan-only release at present, meaning international buyers will likely incur additional costs for shipping and potential import duties.
Demand has been incredibly high, with the devices reportedly selling out shortly after the announcement. The first pre-order window closes today, November 14th, at 11:00 p.m. JST (7:00 a.m. PT / 10:00 a.m. ET). Follow the official Digimon Web Twitter (X) account for updates on future pre-order opportunities. The release date is currently slated for April 2025.
