Get ready for another chance to hunt! Monster Hunter Wilds is launching a second Open Beta, giving players who missed the first, and those eager for a return, a fresh opportunity to experience the game before its official release. This extended beta includes exciting new content.
New Monster and Extended Gameplay
The second Open Beta Test runs in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This time, players can hunt the Gypceros, a fan-favorite monster from the series, adding a new challenge to the experience.
Carryover and Rewards
Character data from the first beta carries over to this one, and then to the full game upon release (though progress won't be saved). Participating players receive in-game rewards: a Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm and a special bonus item pack to aid early game progression.
Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto explained the decision for a second beta, stating the team heard player feedback requesting another opportunity to play. While the team is actively working on post-launch improvements showcased in a previous community update, these will not be included in this beta.
Monster Hunter Wilds officially launches on February 28th, 2025, across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Get ready to hunt!
