The roadmap will be broken down into quarterly segments, with detailed patch notes released to ensure players are informed about which updates have been implemented. Following the successful Q1 updates that addressed major issues and included multiple hotfixes, the developers are committed to continuously enhancing the game based on player feedback.
Here’s what fans can look forward to in the upcoming updates:
- Beta Mod SDK Kit
- A-Life/AI Updates
- Mutant Loot
- Shader Compilation Skip
- Player Stash Window Increase
- Wide Screen Aspect Ratio Support
- 2 New Weapons

- STALKER Original Trilogy Next-Gen Update
Beta Mod SDK Kit, A-Life Updates, and More
GSC Gameworld has outlined two major areas of focus for the upcoming updates: the Beta Mod SDK Kit and enhancements to the A-Life system. They plan to conduct a closed beta with mod makers to test the ModKit before its official release, aiming to integrate platforms like Mod.io and Steam Workshop.
The A-Life System will receive further updates to enhance the game's NPC AI and simulation. Building on last year's efforts, which culminated in a significant 110 GB Christmas patch, the developers are set to introduce "persistent A-Life improvements" and "smarter human combat; better cover/flanking use, limited grenades."
Additionally, updates will enhance the behavior of mutants, allowing them to eat corpses and react to threats. Other planned features include the introduction of mutant loot, the ability to skip shader compilation, an increase in the player stash window, support for wide screen aspect ratios, two new weapons, and continued efforts in stabilization and optimization.
As an exciting side note, fans of the original STALKER trilogy can anticipate a next-gen update. More details on these updates will be shared as their release approaches.
