Samsung Notes offers a versatile platform for creating and editing documents across mobile, tablet, and PC devices, enabling seamless collaboration with others. With the power of the S Pen, users can add annotations to PDFs and create rich documents that integrate images or voice recordings. The app's connectivity extends to various formats, allowing you to connect documents with popular applications such as PDF, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint, enhancing your productivity and creativity.
To get started, simply tap the '+' icon in the bottom right corner of the main screen to create a new note. These notes will automatically save with the "sdocx" extension, ensuring compatibility and easy organization. For added security, you can protect your notes by navigating to the main screen, tapping "More Options" in the upper right corner, selecting "Settings," and then "Lock Note." Choose your preferred locking method and password, and then lock individual notes by selecting "Lock Note" from the "More Options" menu within each note.
Samsung Notes also supports handwritten notes, allowing you to tap the Handwriting icon to directly input your handwriting into your notes. Adding multimedia is straightforward; tap the photo icon to capture or import images, and you can even add tags and edit them. For voice notes, simply tap the Voice Recording icon to record and embed audio directly into your note.
Enhance your notes with various writing tools by tapping the Pen icon, where you can choose from pens, fountain pens, pencils, highlighters, and more, along with a range of colors and thicknesses. If you need to make corrections, the Eraser icon lets you selectively remove content.
Importing existing notes and memos is easy with the Smart Switch feature, which allows you to transfer data from S Note and Memo saved on other devices. You can also sync your notes and memos using your Samsung account for a seamless experience across devices.
Regarding app access permissions, Samsung Notes requires certain permissions to function fully. Required permissions include access to Storage for saving and loading document files. Optional permissions, which enhance the app's functionality but are not necessary for basic use, include access to Photos and Videos, Notifications, Music and Audio, Phone, Microphone, and Camera. You can enjoy the app's core features without granting these optional permissions.
