Introducing the Carplounge Autopilot, a revolutionary system designed to elevate your fishing experience with the Raymarine Element App, specifically tailored for the RT7 & RT4 V4. Instead of using a traditional remote control for your BaitBoat, the Carplounge Autopilot leverages the power of an Android tablet or smartphone, offering a seamless and intuitive control experience. The essential software is readily available for free on the Google Play Store, compatible with any Android device equipped with Bluetooth capabilities. By connecting the tablet to the boat via a Bluetooth transmitter box, you gain complete control over your BaitBoat through an interactive touchscreen interface.
In manual mode, you can navigate the boat just as you would with a standard BaitBoat, using the touchscreen for precise steering. The app displays the boat's position, route, and orientation with a built-in compass function, all updated in real-time on an interactive map. Moreover, you can pinpoint and save promising fishing spots using the integrated GPS, allowing you to label them with names like "jetty left," "spot 1," or "home" for easy reference.
Switch to autopilot mode, and you unlock the ability to program complex routes. Select multiple points, combine them into a route, and assign specific actions such as opening the left or right hatch, releasing bait, or turning on lights. For instance, you can program the boat to:
- Drive to "Sandbank" and open the right hatch upon arrival.
- Proceed to "Spot 2" and open the left hatch.
- Return to the fishing spot and signal with a blink.
Once loaded, the boat will autonomously follow the programmed route. With the capacity to store an almost limitless number of spots and routes, and utilizing state-of-the-art measurement technologies including position and acceleration sensors, as well as advanced GPS and compass systems, the Carplounge Autopilot ensures route guidance with an impressive 90% accuracy within 30cm.
Additionally, the system smartly manages line tension while navigating, particularly when deploying two rods to different spots simultaneously. The onboard electronics detect when you're tensioning one or both lines, automatically adjusting the boat's steering to counteract the pull, ensuring it stays on a direct course to the selected target without unnecessary deviations that could cause line bends.
The Carplounge Autopilot replaces the conventional remote control, but we offer the flexibility to connect a traditional remote if preferred. This dual-control option lets you choose between navigating via your tablet or the remote control. The app is optimized for 10-inch Android tablets with Bluetooth, allowing direct control of the BaitBoat through the tablet's touchscreen.
The Raymarine Element App, available for free on the Google Play Store, is continuously developed and expanded by our team. Automatic software updates ensure you receive the latest features, changes, and enhancements swiftly, without needing to return the autopilot or boat for servicing. The app updates automatically, akin to typical tablet/smartphone software updates.
