Using the App and FreeStyle Libre 2 Scanner

It’s important to note that signals from the sensor can be sent to either the FreeStyle Libre 2 scanner or your smartphone—but not both simultaneously. To receive alerts on your phone, the sensor must be activated through the FreeStyle LibreLink app. Conversely, if you activate the sensor using the scanner, alerts will be directed there instead. However, even when triggered via the scanner, the sensor can still be scanned using your phone.

Keep in mind that the app and scanner do not communicate directly with each other. To ensure complete data collection, scan the sensor with each device at least every 8 hours. If not, reports may lack some information. All data from your devices can be consolidated and reviewed at LibreView.com.
