The NHS App offers a seamless and secure platform for accessing a variety of NHS services directly from your smartphone or tablet. If you're 13 or older and registered with an NHS GP surgery in England or the Isle of Man, you're eligible to use it. You can also access these services through the NHS website on your computer.
Access NHS Services
With the NHS App, you can conveniently access your NHS services at any time and from any location. Key features include requesting repeat prescriptions, using the 111 online service, and locating nearby NHS services. Depending on your GP surgery's capabilities, you might also have the option to book appointments and reach out to your surgery regarding health issues.
Manage Your Health
The NHS App provides a user-friendly way to keep tabs on your GP health record, including your latest test results. It's also your go-to for managing upcoming appointments and handling prescription requests. Moreover, you can make important health decisions, such as registering your organ donation choice, all within the app.
Receive Messages
Stay informed with crucial updates from your GP surgery and other NHS services through the app. By enabling notifications, you'll be promptly alerted to any new messages, ensuring you never miss important health information.
Manage Services for Other People
The NHS App allows you to switch profiles and manage services for others, such as a child or family member. To do this, your GP surgery must grant you access, and you must be registered at the same surgery as the person you're managing services for.
Log in Securely
If you're new to the NHS App, it will walk you through setting up an NHS login. You'll need to verify your identity, after which the app will securely link to your NHS service information. For added convenience, if your Android device supports it, you can use fingerprint, face, or iris recognition to log in each time you access the app.
