Pokémon GO Launches Special Sweet Discoveries Event Featuring Applin Debut
The upcoming Sweet Discoveries event introduces Galar region's Applin for the first time in Pokémon GO. This limited-time celebration is perfect for trainers who enjoy collecting rare Pokémon or hunting shiny variants. Here's everything you need to know about the event.
Event Schedule and Applin Introduction
The Sweet Discoveries event runs from April 24th at 10:00 AM until April 29th at 8:00 PM local time. The highlight of the event is the debut of Applin, the Grass/Dragon-type Pokémon that lives inside an apple.
Evolution Details
Trainers will need:
- 200 Applin Candies + 20 Tart Apples → Flapple
- 200 Applin Candies + 20 Sweet Apples → Appletun
- Dipplin evolves into Hydrapple
Special evolution items (Tart Apples and Sweet Apples) will spawn in the wild alongside Applin. These items appear more frequently near activated Mossy Lure Modules.

Applin survives by hiding inside apples, camouflaging itself from predatory bird Pokémon. This unique survival strategy makes it one of Pokémon GO's most adorable creatures.
