From April 25th to May 5th, CrazyGames is set to host its thrilling 10-day global game development marathon, the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025, in partnership with Photon, the world's leading multiplayer service provider. This event invites indie developers from around the globe to dive into the exciting world of web-based multiplayer game creation, competing for a share of €10,000 in cash prizes and premium Photon licenses.
Participants can vie for prestigious rewards including a 500 CCU with Circle Starter for a year (valued at €7,500), a 500 CCU for a year (valued at €1,500), and a 100 CCU for a year (valued at €100). The only requirements are that games must be developed and submitted during the jam period and must meet PEGI 12 rating standards. Beyond these guidelines, developers are encouraged to let their creativity soar.
Since its launch in 2014, CrazyGames has become the go-to platform for free online gaming, leveraging HTML5, JavaScript, and WebGI technologies to offer seamless browser-based gaming experiences. With the support of CrazyGames and Photon, winners of the jam will have the opportunity to publish their games on the CrazyGames platform.
A pre-jam livestream is scheduled for April 24th at 4 pm CEST on YouTube and LinkedIn, where attendees can gain insights into two new WebGL platforms, Fusion and Quantum. Mark Val, Head of Growth at Photon Engine, expressed excitement about the potential of WebGL, stating, "Photon has supported multiplayer WebGL for over a decade, and our new Fusion and Quantum samples let you create high-performant multiplayer games easily. We believe a WebGL game will be in the top 20 of the world's most visited websites in the coming year, and the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is a good opportunity for everyone to innovate on the platform."
Registration for the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is free and open to developers of all experience levels. Interested participants can visit the official jam page for more information and to register.
