Visually, the game draws inspiration from Studio Ghibli, French comics, and even modern art styles like Corporate Memphis. The aim is to create an environment that feels timeless and inviting, encouraging players to settle in for the long haul.
A unique feature of Spirit Crossing is its in-game calendar system, which influences game progression. For instance, trees you plant will take three to six real-world months to grow into a harvestable orchard, promoting a slow-paced, long-term engagement similar to what Spry Fox experimented with in Cozy Grove.
