Mudra, derived from Sanskrit, translates to "posture" or "pose." The term is composed of 'mud,' meaning joy, and 'ra,' meaning to produce, signifying the joy and cheerfulness that Mudras can bring. By bringing the finger corresponding to an imbalanced element into contact with the thumb, equilibrium is restored, and ailments can be alleviated.
