Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Update Reverses Controversial Zombies Change
Treyarch has addressed player concerns regarding recent changes to Black Ops 6's Zombies Directed Mode. Following negative feedback, the January 3rd update's alteration to zombie spawn delays has been reversed in the latest patch. This change, which significantly increased the time between rounds and zombie spawns after five looped rounds, proved unpopular with the community. The update also includes various bug fixes and improvements.
The January 9th patch notes confirm the reversal of the spawn delay, restoring it to approximately 20 seconds after five looped rounds. This decision aims to maintain the fun and rewarding nature of the Zombies mode. In addition to this key reversal, the update addresses several bugs within Citadelle des Morts' Directed Mode, including issues with quest progression and visual glitches. The Void Sheath Augment for Aether Shroud has also received fixes for visual effects and crashing problems.
Further enhancements include substantial buffs to the Shadow Rift Ammo Mod. Activation rates for normal, special, and elite enemies have all been increased, along with a 25% reduction in cooldown time.
The patch notes also preview Black Ops 6 Season 2, launching January 28th, promising additional bug fixes and updates. Players are encouraged to complete the Citadelle des Morts main quest before Season 1 Reloaded concludes.
