Marvel Rivals Addresses Low FPS Damage Issue
Players of Marvel Rivals experiencing reduced damage output at lower FPS settings, particularly affecting heroes like Dr. Strange and Wolverine, can expect a resolution soon. The development team has acknowledged a bug impacting damage calculations at 30 FPS, impacting several heroes' abilities.
Launched in early December 2025, Marvel Rivals boasts an impressive 80% player approval rating on Steam, despite initial hero balance concerns. However, recent reports highlighted a significant glitch affecting damage dealt by certain heroes (including Dr. Strange, Magik, Star-Lord, Venom, and Wolverine) at lower frame rates. This issue, confirmed by a community manager on the official Discord server, stems from the game's client-side prediction mechanism.
While a precise fix date isn't available, the community manager assures players that the upcoming Season 1 update (launching January 11th) will address the problem. The issue is more noticeable when testing abilities against stationary targets. Wolverine's Feral Leap and Savage Claw abilities are specifically mentioned as affected. If the Season 1 patch doesn't completely resolve the issue, further updates are planned. The team is actively working on a solution, aiming for a swift resolution to ensure a balanced and enjoyable gameplay experience for all players.
